Walal Mountain
Exceptional
Ethiopian Coffee,
Rooted in Origin
Grown at high elevations in the forests of western Ethiopia, Walal Coffee expresses the purity of its land, the heritage of its farmers, and the distinctive character of Arabica’s birthplace.
About us
Welcome to Walal Coffee, where Ethiopia’s coffee heritage meets the rich landscapes of the Oromia highlands. Inspired by the legendary Walal Mountain, our coffee is grown in fertile soils, high elevations, and forest ecosystems that nurture some of the world’s most remarkable Arabica beans.
Here, coffee is more than a crop — it is part of the land, the people, and generations of knowledge passed from farmer to farmer.
From the slopes of Walal to coffee cups around the world, our mission is simple: to share authentic Ethiopian coffee defined by origin, quality, and care.
The coffee-growing regions of western Ethiopia are widely recognized as part of the birthplace of Arabica coffee. Vast forest ecosystems once stretched across present-day regions such as Wallagga, Illubabor, Jimma, and Kaffa.
Our Coffee
Walal Coffee is grown at high elevations where cooler temperatures allow coffee cherries to mature slowly. This extended maturation process enhances the complexity and sweetness of the beans.

Why Choose
Walal Coffee
More Than Coffee A True Expression of Origin
-
A Distinct Highland Terroir
Walal Coffee is grown in the highlands surrounding Walal Mountain, where altitude, climate, and forest ecosystems come together to shape exceptional coffee. The slow maturation of cherries at high elevations results in complex, vibrant flavors that truly reflect the land.
-
Rooted in the Birthplace of Arabica
Our coffee comes from one of the world’s most important coffee regions — western Ethiopia, where Arabica originated. This legacy is not just history; it lives on through the varieties, forests, and traditions that define every harvest.
-
Coffee Grown with Nature
Our coffees are cultivated within forest-based systems that protect biodiversity and maintain soil health. By supporting agroforestry practices, we help preserve the natural environment that makes Ethiopian coffee unique.
